As they observed the transformation that we implemented in their relative’s house, the Sarnowskis decided it was time to get to work on their own house.  This house had some serious design challenges and needed a lot of work.

We started with the expansion of the kitchen where we reworked the work area to increase their counter space and storage, created two pantries and updated all the appliances. As a result, the space is now well suited to accommodate the many extended family events the clients host in this home. By increasing the footprint of the kitchen, we were able to enclose the existing screened-in porch and create a casual eating area and a home office.

Next, we converted the existing garage into a playroom for their two young daughters and reworked the bathrooms in the first floor powder room, children’s bathrooms and master bedroom.  On the exterior, we re-sided the existing brick exterior with Hardie fiber cement siding, reworked the front entry and replaced all the windows.

We wrapped up the project by repainting the interior of the entire house.  What had been a house with many issues is now the warm, friendly home that this family had dreamed of.
